Literature Text

I am copper patina.
&
I am rust.

thick grown through the passage of time
slow and dull and flaking

these words clog my arteries
brain waves claimed by arrhythmia

muses choke; anoxia
blue faces accusing as downturning
they breathe out bubbles
and inhale a final resting place promise

say anything, say anything.

I am not alone
and I am not finished
but please take me home
give me something to describe tomorrow
give me something to become tonight

all I can say, what do you say?

you're a terrible depravity
I need your monster breath against the back of my knees
start the trembling in my lips and gape my ribs
to the merciful clutches of whatever else there is

I am chemical reactions.
&
I am bored.
*Iniquitire= Tonight feels like old horror movie reruns and stale milk. How do -you- feel?

I thought about it and my answer was like copper patina and neglected jewelry which became the beginning of this but it took off and I'm not quite sure where it ended up...

Is the ending a cop out? =/

Also, I want the experimental poetry category to come back...I'm starting to want to use it.

I think the last stanza does work with the rest of the poem, at least as a great callback to the first one.

Though I have to say, that fourth one is my favorite. ^^
